All of us carry in our hearts the desire for truth and to know God
Of course there is in us the desire for truth and to know God, even when we’re not aware of it; for this reason, we are internally driven to seek this grace [the truth and knowledge of the Lord]. There are moments in our life where we feel the urge to do something and we don’t know what it is; for example, we have desire to eat something and don’t know what it is, and we’re looking for it. This is how we will translate this desire within us. But, deep down, what is behind the deep desire is to see Jesus, who is the “way, the truth and the Life”.
The Lord is wonderful, because He just does not leave us helpless. Continuously, we are assisted by the spirit of truth: “When however the spirit of truth comes, He will guide you to the full truth” (John 16:13).
Let us pray: Holy Spirit, rooted in truth, cultivate in us the love of this virtue.
