Saint Tereza of Jesus proclaimed: ‘My name is God’s will. “She lived it, so she could proclaim “My life is God’s will”.
The Lord wants to find in our generation those that ‘enter’ in His will, as someone who enters in the rapids and is taken by it. Tell the Lord that you want to do His will:
“Lord, I want to be in these rapids and do your will. I want to be driven by the rapids of Thy Holy Spirit and be docile to Thy designs. Making my will God’s will.”
Once, in one of our prayer camps, after listening to the preaching, a young woman wrote me a note like this:
“Father Jonas, after three years of the removal and full retreat of my vocation, today the Lord revealed His face to me. At that time I was engaged and would get married, but God, in His infinite mercy, showed me His will. Yesterday, no longer supporting the waiting for an answer from God, I put my hand on my heart and finally asked that, if it were His will, I would be fully consecrated to Him. Then I asked the Lord to speak to me concretely. Today, my boyfriend, in a moment of prayer was very touched and heard a voice telling him – ‘Let her leave and consecrates to me’. “Looking at me, he spoke – consecrate yourself. God wants this of you.”
Next to the note of that young woman, were also the rings with all her projects and dreams. I put them on the altar, because there was going a sacrifice of love. Today, for our salvation and the salvation of those we love, we need to take God’s will and often transform our “yes” in a sacrifice to the Lord. Every vocation is a sacrifice to God and should be viewed with that responsibility.
How many married men need to assume its role as a husband and father! Many live a state of levity, of irresponsibility … There are many who do not make their marriage a vocation. The sacrament of marriage is a vocation! Being a husband is a vocation! Therefore, you who are married are not more inconsistent with its call. For its salvation, for the salvation of his wife, their children, and all his family, dive dip in this current, which is God’s will. You can not be irresponsible as father, as husband because it was God himself who trusted you this mission. Before God, you are responsible for your sons and mainly a daughter who He chose to be your wife. Therefore, take seriously your vocation.
Also, we priests need to take serious our priesthood vocation. We must leave aside any levity and to assume this beautiful responsibility of paternity that God gave us.
The boys who are called to marriage can not think of choosing a vocation for finding to be easier to get married than to become priest, religious or consecrated. The marriage is a vocation given by God, as the priesthood. Equally, the seminarians need to be responsible, because they are walking towards the sacrament of the order and to receive a paternity that comes from God.
Your vocation for the marriage or the priesthood is not that simple or easy, because whichever its call, its mission is to pillage the hell and fill the heaven of God’s children.
