Adoração ao Santíssimo Sacramento no Kairós A Cura da DepressãoLet us be attentive to today’s blessing

Daily we need to open ourselves to the new. One day is never the same as the other, and for each day the Lord gives us his own grace. The grace of yesterday is past and will never return; let us be attentive to today’s blessing. Let us not by any means let the grace of God pass through our lives. We are preoccupied with many things, agitated, bound to our problems, and therefore often unable to perceive the grace of God operating in us. We continue with the old man’s habits when we cling to our problems. Today, the Lord invites us to live differently, giving us a slogan: “It is necessary for you to be born again” (John 3: 7b). This order is a divine design of mercy, because God wants us filled with the renewing Holy Spirit. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, everything begins to change within us and around us, for the power of God renews all things.

Let the Holy Spirit transform us and renew us. Let us pray and pray: Come, Holy Spirit! “If you send out your breath, they revive and renew the face of the earth” (Psalm 103,30). Jesus I trust in you!

We are in the time of grace

Translation: Keep Strong My Child

This is the question of many: why does not the Lord hasten His coming? Why not clean the face of the earth? The answer is simple: because He wants to prolong to the time of grace, so that no one is lost. God is delaying His coming so that, in this time of mercy, all His children will convert and cease to live in the corruption of this world. If the Lord had already returned and exercised His justice over the whole earth, many of us would be lost. The time of grace has been prolonged so that more people are saved. Have you ever wondered: what if the Lord had come before our conversion happened? He would find us in the mire of this world and we would be taken with the mud together. That is why God has delayed the time of His coming. We are in the time of grace, but it is certain that there will be the day of cleansing: the great and dreadful day of the Lord. If we proclaim a year of grace from the Lord, we also proclaim a day of vengeance of our God. After cleansing the face of the earth, the Lord will come to implant His Kingdom.

God bless you!

Padre José Augusto preside missa de Quarta-feira de Cinzas na Canção Nova, em Cachoeira Paulista (SP).God can and wants to give us a whole new life.
By waiting on God, the Holy Spirit makes us reach what we would otherwise not achieve. When a man waits on God, nothing else is impossible for him. When a young man is full of hope, he can do unbelievable things. When a husband and wife have hope, nothing can destroy their family, not even death. People remain in or return to a family when they find within it the hope of being able to start over. The best of all this is that, our hope has a name: Jesus. Yes! A whole new life is possible. There is no such great evil, no problem so difficult, that God can not tear it apart. He can, by the power of His Holy Spirit, deliver us from all evils and from any state of spiritual imprisonment and death. He can and wants to give us a whole new life.

God bless you!

Christians of the first centuries did not hesitate in saying that “The world was created for the sake of the Church.” Saint Clemens of Alexandria (died in 215 AD) stated:

“Just as God’s will is creation and is called “the world,” so his intention is the salvation of men, and it is called “the Church” (CCC  760).

Many children of that loving Mother knew how to be faithful to Her up to the end. In 1988, Monsignor Ignatius Ong Pin-Mei, Bishop of Shangai, after being kept in jail for 30 long years in China because of his love for the Christ and faithfulness to the Catholic Church, declared on the following day of his release from prison:

“I stayed faithful to the Roman Catholic Church. Thirty years of prison did not change me. I kept my faith. I am ready to go back to prison tomorrow to defend my faith.”

The Cardinal of Czechoslovakia Frantisek Tomasek, Archbishop of Prague was living hard times of communist persecution in 1985. A reporter asked him: “Your Eminency, are you not tired of combating unsuccessfully?” And he answered:

“I always repeat: those who work for the Kingdom of God do a lot; those who pray, do more; those who suffer, do everything. That everything is exactly the little we do here in Czechoslovakia” (IL Sabato 8, 14/06/85, p.11), (PR,  284, Jan 1986).

It is opportune to remember here that a few years later, in 1989, communism started to crumble all through the Iron Curtain…

Christians of all times shed their blood because of their faith in the Church; starting with the martyrs of the Roman Empire, followed by the martyrs of Nazism and Communism and also of modern times.

Tertullian, Bishop and Historian of the Church during the III Century, wrote to the Emperor of his time telling him that it was useless to kill Christians because “the blood of the martyrs is the seed of new Christians”. The more Christians were devoured by beasts, burnt at the stake and slain by the sword, the bigger was Christianity in Rome, up to the time when the Roman Emperor Constantine himself converted to Christ, around the year 313 AD, and finally banned the persecution of Christians.

In the year 390 AC the Emperor Theodosius made Christianism the official religion of Roman Empire. Years later, his successor Julian, the Apostate, wanted to revive paganism but it was too late; he died with this exclamation in his lips: “You won, o Galileo!”

You need to put your trust in God.

The only way to survive is by believing! The only way to contemplate victory is by putting our faith in God. If we have a good heart and a good head, we will have raw material to believe in the God of the impossible, of the miracles. If we do not put our faith in God, we will not survive. Believing simply in human foresight, we will fail! However self-sufficient you are, it is not your intelligence, your profession, your money that will give you assurances. You can have it all now and, tomorrow, you can not have it anymore. This is what I have witnessed, unfortunately, with many friends of mine. Like the prophet Isaiah, I dare say you have to put your trust in God. For you to trust, you must have a good head and heart. You need to be a person of faith. For yourself, there is no firmness under your feet. Our only firmness is faith. If you are an unbeliever, a calculator, a logician, you have to stop being. If you want to solve everything with your logic and your efforts, you must change. You must be a person of faith! God bless you! Your brother,
