All glory to Him and all the recognition that is the only Savior between God and men.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><em><span lang=\"pt-PT\">&#8220;I baptize with water;<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><em><span lang=\"pt-PT\">but among you is the one that you do not know, and who is coming after me.<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\"><em>I do not deserve to untie the strap of his sandals &#8220;(John<\/em> 1: 26-27).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">St. John the Baptist in his ministry of proclaiming the Kingdom of God and to prepare the way of the One who comes after him,is \u00a0like a voice crying in the wilderness, as someone who is flattening the paths by which the Lord will pass, is being questioned by many: <em>&#8220;You are the Christ?\u00a0Are Elijah the Prophet?&#8221;<\/em> (John 1: 21).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">St. John does not take to himself the glory that is not his;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">in fact, he takes up what is his role in saying that he <em>only baptized with water;<\/em><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><em><span lang=\"pt-PT\">and that the baptism was brought to the purification of sins, to prepare the hearts and let them softened to the One who would bring the amazing grace, grace par excellence.<\/span><\/em><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\"><em>And that before the Lord, the One who would come after him, he was not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals<\/em> (cf. John 1: 24-27).<\/span><\/span> <span lang=\"pt-PT\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">St. John is not the Lamb of God,\u00a0he\u00a0is the arrow that shows us who is the Lamb, who is the One who can save us, cleanse us and redeem us!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">You know, my brothers, the Kingdom of God, we can not stop the in the people and people may not want us to stop at them.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">No, no human being is for us &#8220;God himself.&#8221;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">Any servant of the Lord is for us as John the Baptist, is for us the figure, the arrow that shows us who is the way, who is Jesus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">I always worry about the glory that often we want to give to people.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">Sometimes titles are, cults, sometimes until idolatry given to human beings.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">As good as they are, however they strive and as much as we who are preachers of the Word of God try to be references to people&#8217;s lives, we are not the way, the truth or life.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">We are only what John the Baptist was: an arrow indicating that Jesus is the way, indicating that life is in Jesus and He alone can save us.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\"><strong>We are not worthy of applause, we are not worthy of human glories nor do we want them or we want to live them.<\/strong>Our recognition is the service, is giving us and deliver us into the kingdom of God.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">Our joy is when Jesus is recognized, loved, glorified and exalted!<\/span><\/span> <span lang=\"pt-PT\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">No man, not even the Pope, the bishop, the singer, the preacher, to no\u00a0human glory.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">All glory, all recognition that is the only for Savior between God and men.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">All glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it is to Him we turn, it is to Him we address because only He can save us!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><span lang=\"pt-PT\">God bless you!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<footer id=\"entry-author-info\">\n<div class=\"entry_author_image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/homilia.cancaonova.com\/wp-content\/authors\/3_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"notranslate\">Father Roger Araujo<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Priest of the New Song Community, journalist and Employee Portal New Song.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/rogeraraujo.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/rogeraraujo.cn<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/footer>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our joy is when Jesus is recognized, loved, glorified and exalted!
