{"id":15859,"date":"2015-02-11T01:01:52","date_gmt":"2015-02-11T06:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=15859"},"modified":"2015-01-19T16:53:43","modified_gmt":"2015-01-19T21:53:43","slug":"conquer-the-ghosts-that-are-scaring-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/02\/11\/conquer-the-ghosts-that-are-scaring-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Conquer the Ghosts That Are Scaring Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\"><strong>How\u00a0we need the light of God, how we need every day a glimpse of Jesus before us, to help us overcome the ghosts and fantasies that grow within us!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\"><em>&#8220;But Jesus immediately said,&#8221; Courage, it&#8217;s me!<\/em><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"><em>Do not be afraid! &#8220;(Mark<\/em> 6, 50).<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/files\/2015\/02\/Conquer-the-Ghosts-that-are-Sacring-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15863\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/files\/2015\/02\/Conquer-the-Ghosts-that-are-Sacring-1.png\" alt=\"Conquer the Ghosts that are Sacring (1)\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/files\/2015\/02\/Conquer-the-Ghosts-that-are-Sacring-1.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/files\/2015\/02\/Conquer-the-Ghosts-that-are-Sacring-1-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/files\/2015\/02\/Conquer-the-Ghosts-that-are-Sacring-1-144x144.png 144w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>After that wonderful multiplication of the loaves, which satisfied all in that crowd, Jesus is put out to sea in a boat with His disciples to go across the border.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The night wore on, Jesus had been praying on land and saw that His disciples rowed, but were\u00a0too\u00a0tired to face the headwinds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">Jesus was walking on the water to go to meet the disciples, to see them later, but the disciples, moved by fatigue, began to be afraid, confused Jesus with ghosts and started screaming in terror.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Jesus said, &#8220;Courage, my children!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Fear not, it&#8217;s me I&#8217;m going to meet you. &#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">Fatigue, physical, emotional distress, psychological generate so many ghosts inside us, in our hearts, that we start to confuse things, to the people of God who are on our side, until our neighbor becomes ghost for us !<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">How we need the light of God!<\/span> How\u00a0<span class=\"notranslate\">we need, every day, to envision Jesus before us, to help us overcome the ghosts that grow within us!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">We know that the cultivated fantasies that grow inside of us have seen real ghosts, they scare us, haunt us, make us create things that do not exist;<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">there, and with that, we begin to live with\u00a0&#8220;neuroses&#8221; within ourselves and with others, we realize that not where it&#8217;s coming.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">So Jesus today is coming to meet us to heal us, even better, to send away from us all the ghosts that are panicking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">Obviously the ghost is that which does not exist, we are no longer children to have these illusions, but sometimes our adult heart creates fantasy other things and we usually fantasize what is more negative.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">We turn a small thing into something big, we transform a misunderstanding and disagreement into a war;<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">we live in a little confusion.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Because someone did not smile for us, as we begin to fantasize so many things;<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">we take a word and make it a real fire beside us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">May God help us to cleanse ourselves of these terrible fantasies, small or large, that we let grow within us and help us overcome the ghosts that often are panicking our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">I remember that someone spent a long time without talking to me.<\/span> He\u00a0<span class=\"notranslate\">do not want to see me and I did not understand anything.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Until one day she took courage and came to tell me: &#8220;Look Father, I&#8217;m upset with you because you do not like me.&#8221;<\/span> Sh<span class=\"notranslate\">e told me so many things!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">And I said, &#8220;I did not know this was happening, I did not know a gesture that I had done had caused much trouble in you!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The problem was not my gesture, the problem is you turned it into a fantasy that has grown so much and become a ghost! &#8220;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"pt-PT\"><span class=\"notranslate\">It&#8217;s time to break with all the ghosts we create around us!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">God bless you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fr.
