They were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them what was going to happen to him\u00a0\u201cBehold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles.\u00a0who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him, and put him to death, but after three days he will rise.\u201d NAB<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"cboxElement\" title=\"25022015_clube\" href=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/canais\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2015\/02\/25022015_clube.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"lightbox[32590]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-32592 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/canais\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2015\/02\/25022015_clube.jpg\" alt=\"25022015_clube\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Jesus always is on the way and He always comes to us.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">He went with his disciples to Jerusalem to live His passion and death, because the time had come.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The Lord knew what awaited in that city, but was not afraid to face his sufferings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">We are on the way to New Jerusalem and we can not give up our walk even the challenges we encounter along the way.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The invitation that Jesus gives us is that we take a new and true attitude of Christians, because we live in a society that has instructed us to be &#8220;Christians\u00a0light .&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Experience the love of God, the security of being with him, but when we are surprised by the tribulations, we are afraid.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Jesus teaches us not to stop in our difficulties, but trust the Lord to strengthen us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">We must trust in God, in His Word, in the Church that instructs us.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">In this time of Lent, we are coming up with Jesus to Jerusalem.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">He was tempted for 40 days, as we will be tempted by the enemy of God.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The invitation to this liturgical season is that we fix our life and live the expectation of the Lord&#8217;s Resurrection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Resurrect with Christ.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">And those who are spiritually dead and need to rise with Christ!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Let us not wait for something to happen to be happy, but let us assume in today in our history the attitude of men and women of God, who take possession of His Word and live in happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Even afraid we must keep walking.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The disciples were amazed, but continued their walk with Christ.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The path that the Lord teaches us is the ascent.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">He will not abandon us in the way, he will go with us to the end of the walk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><strong>Father John Mark Polak<\/strong><\/span> <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><span class=\"notranslate\"><strong>Priest of the New Song Community<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clube.cancaonova.com\/sorrindo-para-a-vida\/continuemos-a-caminhar-com-deus\/\">Portuguese Version<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Father John Mark Polak&#8217;s Message in &#8220;Sorrindo Pra Vida&#8221;
