{"id":16147,"date":"2015-04-27T01:01:43","date_gmt":"2015-04-27T06:01:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/04\/27\/the-musicians-prayer-weapons\/"},"modified":"2015-04-23T04:45:15","modified_gmt":"2015-04-23T09:45:15","slug":"the-musicians-prayer-weapons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/04\/27\/the-musicians-prayer-weapons\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer: The Musician's Weapon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Prayer is a key\u00a0weapon to win the fight against our limitations and against the actions of evil<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"content-post\">\n<article id=\"post-1974\" class=\"post-1974 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-formacao-para-musicos\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Whoever wants to make his ministry a real apostolate for the faith, needs to remember what the Lord Jesus said. &#8220;without me you can do nothing&#8221; (John 15.5) <strong>to &#8216;be with Jesus&#8217; it is important to imitate what He lived.<\/strong> The Word assures us that, often, the Lord withdrew to pray.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Prayer is the &#8216;secret weapon&#8217; of Jesus.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">He has overcome the world (John 16:33) without using the nuclear warhead or heavily armed army.<\/span>\u00a0He\u00a0<span class=\"notranslate\">Won because he prayed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">When Jesus prayed the Father manifested\u00a0Himself\u00a0powerfully.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Here is what we should emulate.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Whoever abandons prayer embraces the temptation.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The musicians who wishes to persevere in their ministry need to pray and to pray a lot!\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"notranslate\">And he or she must have not only the concern with the quantity but the quality of prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">By the grace of baptism in the Holy Spirit we are encouraged to cultivate the prayer of the rosary, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, confession, the Eucharist and the prayerful reading of the Bible to keep us in the grace of the Lord.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">However, the Catholic musician also has available a very useful thing for spiritual growth and maturation: the very mystique of the liturgical calendar.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">It is wonderful to find the anointing of &#8216;communion&#8217; that we can live as we pray with the Church.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Do not doubt: there is a particular grace reserved for you every in strong period of the Church!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1980\" src=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/canais\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2015\/03\/as-armas-de-oracao-do-musico.jpg\" alt=\"the weapons of prayer musician\" width=\"750\" height=\"430\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">In Lent, for example, the Lord assures the faithful the &#8216;spirit of repentance and prayer &#8220;(cf.
