{"id":16206,"date":"2015-04-23T01:01:18","date_gmt":"2015-04-23T06:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=16206"},"modified":"2015-04-22T04:39:20","modified_gmt":"2015-04-22T09:39:20","slug":"conquering-the-storms-of-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/04\/23\/conquering-the-storms-of-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Conquering the Storms of Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content-post\">\n<article id=\"post-503\" class=\"post-503 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-artigos\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"socialmedia-top\"><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <strong>We can walk over our problems without being frightened by storm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> In the Gospel of Matthew, there is an interesting fact: after the multiplication of the loaves, Jesus took leave of the apostles and was praying on the mountain.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> They who were in a boat, realized the agitation of the vessel due to the big storm and were terrified.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Suddenly, they saw someone walking on the sea: the Messiah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> No wonder it was Jesus, they became even more frightened and dropped screams of terror: &#8220;It&#8217;s a ghost!&#8221;.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> But soon the Lord told them: &#8220;Trust!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> It&#8217;s me.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Do not be afraid &#8220;(Mt 14:27).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Often, our life is agitated by the storms and we despair, because we <strong>lack confidence.<\/strong><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> But we need to blindly trust in God, in the certainty that His help will not fail us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> The Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> He is alive.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> We do not serve a dead God.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Cry out and He will come to meet you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Do not be discouraged at the time of storm.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Ask the Lord to take you into his lap, so that the storm did not overcome you.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> The Lord commands us to be bold and say that we need not be afraid of anything, because He will never leave us alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"cboxElement\" title=\"vencendoastempestadesdavida\" href=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/especiais\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/04\/vencendo-as-tempestades-da-vida-1600x1200.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"lightbox[503]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24415 size-medium\" title=\"vencendoastempestadesdavida\" src=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/especiais\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/04\/vencendo-as-tempestades-da-vida-1600x1200-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"vencendoastempestadesdavida\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/especiais\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/04\/vencendoastempestadesdavida.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<\/a> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <sup>Photo: Wesley Almeida \/ cancaonova.com<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <b>When we become aware of our difficulties and call for the help of heaven, everything changes, the storm calms down and we dare to walk on water.<\/b><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> That&#8217;s what Peter experienced:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <em>&#8220;Lord, if you&#8217;re really you, ordering me to go to meet you on the water.<\/em><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <em>Come, He said. And he went out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus &#8220;(Mt 14: 28-29).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> We can also &#8220;walk&#8221; on our problems, on the storms that plague our lives, fixing his eyes on God and not diverting to the right or to the left.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> When Peter took his eyes off Jesus, he sank.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Here&#8217;s the secret: we walk on our problems without letting the storm frighten us, if we keep our eyes fixed on the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Rest assured: when you bring the Lord into the boat of your life, everything changes.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> The wind ceases, the storm calms down and God is replaced by the command of all things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> &#8220;Trust!<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> It&#8217;s me.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> Do not be afraid.&#8221; Whatever situation you&#8217;re going through, trust, for the Lord is on your side in embarrassing situations of everyday life.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> There is nothing to fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Pray with me:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>&#8220;Lord, I thank you for so many miracles and healings that have performed in the lives of my brothers.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>You are truly the God of the impossible.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>Come in, Lord, in the boat of my life.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>See, Lord, agitation she is.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>Until today I was afraid and thought I was alone, but now I do not fear, for the one driving the boat of my life is the Lord.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I present to the Lord every situation I&#8217;m in and already I thank you for the new direction that you are giving leading me<\/i><\/span><span class=\"notranslate\"><i>.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I&#8217;m not alone.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I confess I was already tired, weak, afraid of big waves, but now I have no more fear, because the Lord is with me.<\/i><\/span> <i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>Thank you for the miracle that you are doing in my life.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I am a new person.<\/i><\/span> <i><br \/>\n<\/i> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>From this moment, the rudder of my life is in Your hands.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I will not make any more decisions alone.<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> <i>I want to praise and thank you for peace and healing that you gave me.
