On the afternoon of June 12th, Pope Francis will speak to priests from around the world about the transformation achieved through love<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Transformed from love and for love” will be the Pope <\/span>Francis<\/span>‘s<\/span> reflection theme for the participants of the Third World Priests Retreat, organized by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and the Catholic Fraternity.<\/span> The event will be held 10-14 June at the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome.<\/span> The theme will be “Called to holiness for the new evangelization.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The reflection of the Holy Father will be on the afternoon of June 12, Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.<\/span> After a moment of dialogue with the priests, the Pope will celebrate the Eucharist with the missionary mandate of the participants.<\/span> That same day, in the morning, the founder of the Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova <\/span>Community (which publishes this blog)<\/span>, Monsignor Jonas Abib, will preach, and speak about the word ‘changed’ in reflection entitled ‘Let the love of God\u00a0 transform you.’<\/span> Afterward Sister Briege McKenna and Fr. Kevin Scallon, will lead the Eucharistic adoration and the inner healing prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Five themes should guide the reflections of the participants ‘Gathered’ Transformed ‘,’ Reconciled ‘,’ Empowered ‘and’ Sent … ..to the new evangelization. “<\/span> Another common thread for the meeting will be the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium,<\/em> by Pope Francis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflection of the first day – based on the retreat theme – will be proposed by the Pontifical Household preacher, Father Raniero Cantalamessa.<\/span> But the president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, Cardinal Peter Turkson, will lead on the second day reflection ‘Reconciled to God.<\/span> After the Eucharistic Adoration, the Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, will preside at Mass.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the afternoon, Livio Tacchini, will be responsible for reflection ‘The price of reconciliation’, which will be followed by a moment of reconciliation led by Father Daniel Ange.<\/span><\/p>\n

On June 13, the theme will be ‘Empowered’ again to the care of Father Raniero Cantalamessa.<\/span> Upon reflection, the prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy, Cardinal Beniamino Stella, will preside over the Eucharistic celebration.<\/span> In the afternoon, Bishop Joseph Malagrega will talk about ‘Living the priesthood in the power of the Holy Spirit. “<\/span><\/p>\n

The President of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, will preside at the opening Mass of the meeting, while the Cardinal Vicar of the Diocese of Rome, Agostino Vallini, will preside over the closing on the 14th of June.<\/span><\/p>\n
