{"id":16597,"date":"2015-07-30T01:01:28","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T06:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=16597"},"modified":"2015-07-29T09:16:57","modified_gmt":"2015-07-29T14:16:57","slug":"youth-of-catholic-ecclesial-movements-and-new-communities-send-a-letter-to-the-pope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/07\/30\/youth-of-catholic-ecclesial-movements-and-new-communities-send-a-letter-to-the-pope\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth of Catholic Ecclesial Movements and New Communities Send a Letter to the Pope"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><em>From the Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova Newsroom with Vatican Radio<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/papa.cancaonova.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/MateriaPapa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"250\" \/>From 14 to July 19, it , the Second National Meeting of Youth Movements and New Communities took place in Bel\u00e9m (Paran\u00e1) Brazil.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Young people attending the event, drafted a letter to be sent to Pope Francis, the Bishops and young people in Brazil.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">In it, they report the experience at the event and say they believe in a transformation based on the communion of charisms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">&#8220;Guests coming out to announce the living Jesus Christ, we believe it is possible to intensify a revolution for love and unity even in diversity.&#8221;<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">Participants of the meeting were about 300 leaders from more than 44 ecclesial expressions of the Church in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Representatives recall the words of Pope Francisco during World Youth Day (WYD) 2013, held in Rio de Janeiro, when the pontiff urged young people to be &#8220;protagonists in history.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Further as was the missionary experience held in Bethlehem, in which were to realities of social exclusion and existential.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">&#8220;We went out to meet our brothers who were in the streets, fairs, in bars, on islands, in shelters, in communities, in boats, on buses.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The realities that we find lead us to a permanent state of mission. &#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Young people point out that these environments, even in the face of suffering, they found a devout and friendly people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Given this experience, they return to part of the\u00a0encyclical \u00a0Laudato Si: &#8220;Therefore the Church, with its action, seeks not only to recall the duty to take care of nature, but also &#8216;above all protect mankind from destruction of\u00a0itself.'&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Finally, young people thank the Pope for believing in youth and seeing in them the present and the future of the Church, and ask for\u00a0his\u00a0prayers.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\">The document will be forwarded to the Vatican by the Episcopal Commission for Pastoral Youth of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/papa.cancaonova.com\/jovens-de-movimentos-e-novas-comunidades-enviam-carta-ao-papa\/\">Portuguese Version<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova Newsroom with Vatican Radio From 14 to July 19, it , the Second National Meeting of Youth Movements and New Communities took place in Bel\u00e9m (Paran\u00e1) Brazil.
