{"id":16728,"date":"2015-09-14T01:01:23","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T06:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=16728"},"modified":"2015-08-29T07:13:05","modified_gmt":"2015-08-29T12:13:05","slug":"what-is-my-vocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/09\/14\/what-is-my-vocation\/","title":{"rendered":"What Is My Vocation?"},"content":{"rendered":"<hgroup class=\"content-header\">\n<h1 class=\" entry-title \"><\/h1>\n<\/hgroup>\n<div id=\"content-post\">\n<article id=\"post-1635\" class=\"post-1635 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-artigos\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><span lang=\"en\">God called Abraham and commanded that he called his relatives\u00a0to a new land. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">He took his wife Sara and insisted that He would give him a descendant.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en\">However, Sarah was sterile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">When God visited Abraham, Sarah got pregnant. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Abraham had a son, the only one, the son of promise. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">After a while, the Lord said: now sacrifice your\u00a0son. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Abraham understood that this meant more than to sacrifice his\u00a0son, he understood that he could not go to God himself, so he would have to give his son the Lord. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Abraham came to tie the hands of his son, but the Lord cried out: Abraham! <\/span><span lang=\"en\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en\">I believe that you love me and denied me nothing. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Behold, the promises I will keep. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Soon, a new lamb appeared and Abraham untied his son, he\u00a0got the lamb and sacrificed it to God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">See the story of Abraham, we can imagine what he felt to have to sacrifice his son. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">When we see the crucifix, we don&#8217;t think of the pain of the father seeing his Son on the cross. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">I don&#8217;t know if the pain was greater than the parent or child, because This is\u00a0suffered in the heart, soul and spirit. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">You can&#8217;t imagine the pain of God for each of us.<\/span><span lang=\"en\">For him, we\u00a0too are\u00a0<\/span><b><span lang=\"en\">Worth a heavy price: the blood of Jesus. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">For this reason, we cannot irresponsibly\u00a0cast our vocation aside.<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-26249 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/especiais\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/08\/qual_e_a_minha_vocacao1-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"qual_e_a_minha_vocacao\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><br \/>\n<sup>Photo: Yamin\/cancaonova.com<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">You might even say: &#8220;I choose if I go to heaven or to hell!&#8221;. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">No! <\/span><span lang=\"en\">You have no right! You d<\/span><span lang=\"en\">on&#8217;t have it, because Jesus paid a high price for you, he paid with the blood &#8230; <\/span><span lang=\"en\">So, you have no right to continue in sin, to go to hell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">And we are called to follow him. <\/span><span lang=\"en\"><b>Our first vocation, our first call is giving life, spend it for his brother.<\/b> <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Many are called, as Abraham and Sarah, to give\u00a0their\u00a0life in marriage. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">If there is a sacrament in which we must give our lives, this is matrimony. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">That&#8217;s why a lot of people want to stop along the way, you want to get a divorce, because you don&#8217;t want to sacrifice for each other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">I know it&#8217;s very nice for girls to dream with one that God already predestined them, because Abraham had a dream too. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">But you know, my daughter, that to keep your marriage you need to give yourself\u00a0to your spouse, your children and even to the other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">You, boy, must also live the same thing, need to give of yourself to your wife, give your life for her. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Even the priests and consecrated persons need to take life in their\u00a0vocation. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">My way of getting to give of myself is that of\u00a0being priest for the people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">My children, this is your vocation: spend time and devote yourselves to the priesthood, a religious community or the marriage. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">If you think your life is going to be a bed of roses, don&#8217;t kid yourself. How<\/span><span lang=\"en\">\u00a0beautiful it is when we are willing to give of our life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Which is the way you chose to give of yourself?
