I did it with anger and contempt, without worrying about the result. I spoke badly of people and invented gossip, I have slandered, slandered you, but now I realize how badly I did! I was not paid for it, but rather to perform my job with responsibility and to be worthy of the confidence of my bosses. Today, I’m sorry and beg your pardon, Sir, by this evil that I’ve caused.

I want to ask forgiveness for false witness, for the lies told in the past, for misuse of the salary received, by the times I brought objects from work to my house which is a form of robbery, the times covered my mistakes and those of others, for those times I was harming my employer, for the times when I used my time negligently and letting the laziness dominate me.

Forgive me, Lord, I don’t want to be like that.

How many times have I had the opportunity to pray and thank you for my job and I didn’t do it; I preferred to complain, I was seized by evil. How many times I believed more in envy, in pursuit, in supersticion, in spells than in thanks and power of God!

Today, I’m sorry, Lord, and I want to get rid of everything that imprisons me and blocks my new job.

I know that the job market is difficult, with few available slots. But I know that the Lord will lead me to fulfill my needs and physical, mental and spiritual capacities.

I ask now for my employers: that their needs can be met by my qualifications and association with them. Help me be a blessing on the job you have in mind for me.

In Your Providence, hold for me a post in which I can grow, prosper financially and, at the same time, realize my potential, to live my life in accordance to your wishes.

When the doors open, guide me to which job should I get.
