{"id":16860,"date":"2015-12-23T01:01:09","date_gmt":"2015-12-23T06:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=16860"},"modified":"2015-10-31T09:47:21","modified_gmt":"2015-10-31T14:47:21","slug":"to-pray-is-to-converse-with-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/12\/23\/to-pray-is-to-converse-with-god\/","title":{"rendered":"To Pray is to Converse with God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en\">Jesus wants you to pray for each other. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">He encourages us to pray on the action of the Holy Spirit: &#8220;ask and you shall receive; <\/span><span lang=\"en\">seek and you will find;<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">knock and the door shall be opened. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Whoever asks receives; <\/span><span lang=\"en\">He who seeks, finds;<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">and, for those who hit, will open. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Will any of you that is a father,<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">If the child ask a fish, will give him a snake? <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Or, if you ask an egg, will give him a Scorpion? <\/span><span lang=\"en\">If you who are evil,<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">know how to give good things to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">to those who asked. &#8221; <\/span><span lang=\"en\">(Lc -13 11.9)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Praying is talking to God like talking with a friend, with sincerity of heart.<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">The heavenly Father knows what we need and wants\u00a0to hear and answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">&#8216;Lord Jesus, look at our heart. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">With faith, we are at the throne of grace, we ask forgiveness for our faults and sins, give us salvation. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Lord Jesus, we pray to the father in your\u00a0name by a special grace of our heart (make your request).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Father of Mercy, God of all consolation, hear us!<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">through\u00a0Francis and by all the bishops together, pour out the Holy Spirit!<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Come Holy Spirit upon us all!<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Luzia Santiago<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\"><a href=\"http:\/\/luziasantiago.cancaonova.com\/mensagem\/orar-e-conversar-com-deus\/\">Portuguese Version<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus wants you to pray for each other.
