M\u00e1rcio Mendes\u00a0meditated on\u00a0the Gospel of St. Matthew and, guided by this passage, invited us to think about\u00a0faith, because God never fails to answer the prayer of one, moved by the Holy Spirit, and who persists in his pleadings. <\/span>Check out the transcript from this show:<\/span><\/p>\n

The meditated Word today is in St Matthew 9:27-31<\/strong><\/span>
\n“The Healing of Two Blind Men <\/span>And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed [him], crying out, \u201cSon of David, have pity on us!\u201d When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, \u201cDo you believe that I can do this?\u201d \u201cYes, Lord,\u201d they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, \u201cLet it be done for you according to your faith.\u201d And their eyes were opened. Jesus warned them sternly, \u201cSee that no one knows about this.\u201d they went out and spread word of him through all that land.<\/span> NAB<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The Gospel tells the story of those two blind men who felt in Jesus the father’s presence and\u00a0Him recognized as son of the most high, so they find\u00a0Him to be healed. <\/span>Meeting Christ, they were questioned by the Lord.\u00a0The same question He makes to us today: “do you believe I can do this?”<\/em>, because they went to Jesus to be healed of blindness.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many people who are tired and worn. <\/span>How many today intercede for a loved one! <\/span>There are so many situations that afflict us, but if we present to the Lord all\u00a0we can,\u00a0He will perform a miracle in our lives. <\/span>If a person approaches him with faith and asks him something, he’s never sent away empty-handed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before our cries, what would happen if the Lord spoke to us what He\u00a0spoke to those blind: “do you believe I can do this?”<\/i>, <\/em>. <\/span>We are confident to the point of obtaining the miracle that both have order? <\/span>Let us not forget that no earthly circumstance has the power to prevent the grace of God in our lives. <\/span>If the Lord gives us his word, nothing can change.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we pray in the power of the Holy Spirit and our prayer is in accordance with the will of the father, he helps us. <\/span>However, if we don’t have confidence and started to doubt of the Lord, we will not be met. <\/span>Have the courage to pray with the lips and especially with the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us approach\u00a0the foot of the cross of the Lord, because he loves us and does not send us away\u00a0without answers. <\/span>Our biggest problem today is\u00a0 uncertainty. <\/span>The world has educated us to look over\u00a0our \u00a0shoulder. <\/span>But we trust in the word of the Father, and he doesn’t disappoint.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us follow the example of those blind men, because they teach us how to pray to find God and be healed. <\/span>They leave us an itinerary:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Follow Jesus:<\/strong> <\/span>The blind didn’t ask where He is, but hearing His voice, they followed him, even if it’s not answered immediately by Christ. <\/span>When we can’t see anything in our life, let us listen to the voice of the Lord and walk where He guides us.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Claim the miracle and never be discouraged:<\/strong> <\/span>They were going back to Christ and not discouraged until\u00a0He answer. <\/span>We must insist with the Lord in prayer. <\/span>When we trust in God, we continue to insist, because faith leads us to expect and insist on the grace of the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be healed we must trust and forgive. <\/span>If we want to be cured, we need to forgive the people who don’t deserve our forgiveness. <\/span>Let’s leave everything behind and follow him, crying out to Him and relying on God’s grace.<\/span><\/p>\n
