{"id":17199,"date":"2015-12-29T01:01:51","date_gmt":"2015-12-29T06:01:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/?p=17199"},"modified":"2015-12-29T09:53:53","modified_gmt":"2015-12-29T14:53:53","slug":"the-holy-innocents-of-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cancaonova.com\/catholicismanew\/2015\/12\/29\/the-holy-innocents-of-today\/","title":{"rendered":"The Holy Innocents of Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>In these days of culture of death, there are many holy\u00a0innocents<\/h2>\n<p><em><span lang=\"en\">&#8220;The innocent boys \u00a0were killed because of Christ. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">They follow the lamb without spot and sing: glory to you Lord! &#8220;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">That&#8217;s how it happened: <\/span><em><span lang=\"en\">&#8220;Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and his men to kill all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under<\/span><span lang=\"en\">\u00a0&#8220;<\/span><\/em> <span lang=\"en\">(Mt 2, 16)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8103 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/img.cancaonova.com\/cnimages\/especiais\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2014\/07\/Imagem-166-600x300.jpg\" alt=\"Fam\u00edlia: Uma boa nova!\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><sup>Photo: File CN<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">He was born a little guy that is the great King! <\/span><span lang=\"en\">The Magi arriving from afar and came to worship Him, still lying in the crib, He who reigns in Heaven and on Earth. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">To announce the Magi, the birth of a King, Herod is upset, determined not to lose his Kingdom, he wants to kill the newborn. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">However, if he had\u00a0believed the child, Herod could&#8217;ve reign safely on this earth and forever in the afterlife.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">The Holy Innocents were witnesses to the life that Jesus Christ is God, King and Lord. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">In our times, in which everything revolves around the culture of death, we can, with our choices, choose life or death. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Christ is the way, the truth and the life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Preparing for the new year that we&#8217;re entering into, my decision is for Jesus, Lord of life and of infinite mercy.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">The Lord is my light and salvation. <\/span><em><span lang=\"en\">&#8220;If the Lord wasn&#8217;t on our side, when men invested against us, I&#8217;m sure we would have eaten in his burning anger against us. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Our soul as a bird escaped from the bond that you frame the Hunter. &#8220;<\/span><\/em> <span lang=\"en\">(PS. 123)<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">From those who make children and young people objects, free us Lord!<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Come, Lord Jesus!<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Luzia Santiago<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\"><a href=\"http:\/\/luziasantiago.cancaonova.com\/mensagem\/os-santos-inocentes-dos-dias-de-hoje\/\">Portuguese version<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In these days of culture of death, there are many holy\u00a0innocents &#8220;The innocent boys \u00a0were killed because of Christ.
