Prayer of consecration of the young to the Virgin Mary, made by John Paul II<\/h2>\n

\"Consagra\u00e7\u00e3o“Behold your mother!” <\/span>(Jo 19.27)<\/span><\/p>\n

O\u00a0Virgin Mary, Jesus on<\/span>\u00a0the cross<\/span>
\nwanted\u00a0\u00a0to entrust us to you,<\/span>
\nnot to lessen,<\/span>
\nbut to confirm<\/span>
\nHis unique role as\u00a0Savior of the world.<\/span>
\nIf, in the disciple John,<\/span>
\nall the children of the Church were you entrusted\u00a0to you<\/span>
\nThe happier I am to\u00a0see entrusted to You, o Mary,<\/span>
\nthe youth of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To you, gentle Mother,<\/span>
\nwhose protection I ever experienced,\u00a0<\/span>
\nI deliver them to you, again.<\/span><\/p>\n

All under your mantle<\/span>\u00a0seek refuge and protection<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

You, mother of divine grace,<\/span>
\nmake\u00a0them shine with the beauty of Christ!<\/span><\/p>\n

The young of this century,<\/span>
\nat the dawn of the new millennium,<\/span>
\nstill live the trials that are derived from sin,<\/span>
\nhatred, violence,<\/span>
\nof terrorism and war.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it is also the\u00a0young to\u00a0\u00a0which<\/span>
\nthe Church looks with confidence,<\/span>
\nin the awareness that,<\/span>
\nwith the help of the grace of God,<\/span>
\nthey may be able to believe and live<\/span>
\nas witnesses of the Gospel\u00a0<\/span>today in history.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Mary, help them to respond to their vocation.<\/span>
\nGuide them to the knowledge of true love<\/span>
\nand bless their affections.<\/span><\/p>\n

Help them in time of suffering.<\/span>
\nMakes them intrepid announcers of\u00a0<\/span>
\nthe greeting of Christ<\/span>
\non Easter Day: “peace be with you!”<\/span><\/p>\n

With them, I\u00a0also entrust myself<\/span>
\nOnce again to you<\/span>
\nand, with affection, I repeat:<\/span>
\nTotus tuus ego sum<\/em>!
\nI’m all yours!<\/span>
\nAnd also each one \u00a0<\/span>cries to you with me<\/span><\/p>\n
