\nSince the beginning of His Mission, Jesus incorporated His Disciples (His Church) to His life.<\/p>\n

\u201cJesus said to them, \u2018Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men\u2019\u201d (Mark 1,17); and for three years, He unveiled the Mystery of the Kingdom of God to them.<\/p>\n

He said to them in reply, \u201cBecause knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted\u201d (Matthew 13,11).<\/p>\n

He wanted His Disciples to share His Mission of rescuing mankind and also share His joys and pains.<\/p>\n

The seventy[-two] returned rejoicing, and said, \u201cLord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name\u201d (Luke 10, 17).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is you who have stood by me in my trials; and I confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father has conferred one on me, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel\u201d (Luke 22, 28-30).<\/p>\n

Jesus wanted to be joined in intimate communion with those who followed Him:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him\u201d (John 6, 56).<\/p>\n

That real and mysterious union has awesome effects:<\/p>\n

\u201cJust as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me\u201d(John 6, 57). \u201cI am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world\u201d (John 6,51).<\/p>\n

He maintains and supports His Church; the Catechism tells us that: \u201cThe Church is communion with Jesus\u201d (CCC # 787).<\/p>\n

We enter into communion with the Christ through Eucharist:<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause the loaf of bread is one, we, through many, are one body, for we partake of the one loaf\u201d (The First Letter to the Corinthians 10, 17).<\/p>\n

Pope Paul VI once said that \u201cthose who do not love the Church, do not love Jesus Christ\u201d for they are one single reality.<\/p>\n
