Amidst our weaknesses, is the power of God that will give us victory over\u00a0our\u00a0sins.<\/h3>\n

M\u00e1rcio Mendes, on the program Sorrindo PraVida \u00a0[smiling at life], guided by the Holy Scriptures, invites us to ask God’s strength, with which we\u00a0will overcome our sins and shortcomings. <\/span>Check out his\u00a0message:<\/span>
\nThe word is in 2nd Corinthians 12:7-10 (D-R):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me. [8]<\/a> For which thing thrice I besought the Lord, that it might depart from me. And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for\u00a0power is made perfect<\/u> in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.<\/span>“<\/span><\/em>(The Douay Rheims version is the one closest to the original Portuguese citation.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Are we allowing pride into\u00a0our heart?<\/h3>\n

In his word, the Lord warns us that pride takes a House to ruin and leads\u00a0us to walk a path away from God. We need to keep watch\u00a0<\/span>that pride does not take care of our heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

God, full of wisdom, allows suffering to come upon us so that the brightness of our conquest does not bury us. <\/span>How many temptations come upon us to take peace away from us.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lord uses to the attacks\u00a0of the evil one in our favor. <\/span>He did not create us to sin, but by the Devil’s envy, evil entered the world. <\/span>Whoever is a child of God comes to the Father; <\/span>However, whoever is the son of the evil one is on the way of pride, because the devil is the father of the proud.<\/span><\/p>\n

We count on\u00a0the grace of God to overcome\u00a0sin<\/h3>\n

Live the experience of God that He alone is enough. We touch\u00a0<\/span>the bottom of our weakness and let the Lord be our resource. <\/span>The Father knows us and knows how to act to lead us to freedom. <\/span>We proclaim the name of Jesus, on this day, for all the evil onslaught of Satan is kicked out of our homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

When a family falls, society falls with it. <\/span>A society without family or with broken families is weak and spiritually dominated. We must always count on\u00a0<\/span>Divine Providence.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many have been whining, complaining of life and the suffering. <\/span>When we touch our limits, we realize how fragile we are. <\/span>Stop begging the pity of people and sit in the presence He who\u00a0can do all in our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

All that we live and confront, God converts to our good. <\/span>Learn to always count on\u00a0the Father, because he never fails. <\/span>Let us turn to the Lord, and let us proceed. <\/span>If we can’t\u00a0continue on our own, let’s continue asking the help of the Holy Spirit of God, for He will open our eyes and help\u00a0us trust in the hands of the Father.<\/span><\/p>\n

We leave all\u00a0in God’s hands<\/h3>\n

It is in our weakness that we become strong. <\/span>What are our greatest sins or weaknesses? <\/span>Understand that the temptations always will accompany us, but we count on the help of the Lord, for he gives us the strength to overcome them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bigger or worse the situation we live in, let us put ourselves\u00a0even more in the hands of Christ and not let go. <\/span>After suffering comes joy. <\/span>With God we can do more, without him it’s just pain.<\/span><\/p>\n

The evil encounters\u00a0\u00a0defeat when we are safe in the hands of God. <\/span>Let the Father in strengthen us, for the Lord is and always will be our greatest resource. <\/span>He never abandons us.<\/span><\/p>\n
