The recipe for holiness is love.<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>It is God’s will that we be holy.<\/span>\u00a0He himself reveals to us:\u00a0“For I am the Lord your God.<\/em><\/span>\u00a0Sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am holy “(Lev. 11.44).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

When a doctor of the law asked Jesus about the greatest commandment, He used a passage from the book of Deuteronomy to respond: ”\u00a0You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might (Dt 6,5).<\/em><\/span>\u00a0He added:\u00a0“Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mt 22:39).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The recipe for holiness is the love that is realized through concrete attitudes.<\/span>\u00a0In addition to showing us that this is the way to holiness and that love is made through concrete actions, Jesus tells us that we will be judged by love.<\/span>\u00a0He says: what we do or fail to do in concrete gestures of love is to Him that we do or not do.<\/span><\/p>\n

At this trial, we will either receive the maximum prize or the maximum penalty.<\/span>\u00a0He wants our holiness.<\/span>Therefore, give us an order: “Be holy, for I am holy.”<\/span><\/p>\n
