Jesus\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0person uncomfortable\u00a0yesterday,\u00a0today\u00a0and\u00a0forever.\u00a0The motivation for this inconvenience\u00a0is that\u00a0Jesus\u00a0speaks,\u00a0he speaks the truth\u00a0and the truth\u00a0is demanding, it concerns the life\u00a0and\u00a0focuses\u00a0on\u00a0human behavior:\u00a0“I\u00a0and the\u00a0Father\u00a0are\u00a0one. ”<\/p>\n

He reveals\u00a0that\u00a0the people\u00a0– who took part in the\u00a0festivities, hurrying\u00a0around\u00a0the\u00a0Jewish\u00a0Temple-\u00a0in fact, are made part\u00a0of His\u00a0sheep,\u00a0called\u00a0to\u00a0hear\u00a0his words\u00a0and to follow him. God, His Father, was He who\u00a0gave them,\u00a0and\u00a0nobody\u00a0will stay\u00a0the\u00a0hand\u00a0of the Father. Jesus thus discredits\u00a0the religious leaders of\u00a0Israel,\u00a0with\u00a0its\u00a0Temple\u00a0and\u00a0the synagogues,\u00a0in considering themselves\u00a0true\u00a0pastors.\u00a0They, oppressing and\u00a0exploiting the\u00a0people\u00a0are rejecting Jesus, and\u00a0thus\u00a0is\u00a0excluded\u00a0from the\u00a0gift that\u00a0communicates\u00a0the Father\u00a0through His\u00a0only begotten Son.<\/p>\n

It is the truth that Jesus brings, the great newness, it is who He is the Song of God. His identity is of divine origin.<\/p>\n

His divine Sonship makes it difficult to accept that those who want to understand on a human and rational level and thus are not open to transcendence. Therefore, the unrest and question of the chief of the Sanhedrin: “Are you the Messiah, the Blessed Son of God?”<\/p>\n

Before this question, Jesus responded: “I am” (Mk 14:61b-62a) affirming that the Messiah is the Son of God, the Jewish religious world, with its leaders, seemed to have just caused an “earthquake” such that he provoked his detractors the total panic of losing the religious and political power, their social and familiar state. The reaction was flat: death.<\/p>\n

Jesus provokes “earthquakes” still today in persons and in people, confronting ideologies and post modern thinking. He provokes equally in society, with His denunciation against permissiveness and relativistic with his strong calls to recognize the dignity of men, made to the image and similarity of God and redeemed by Jesus Christ, Salvador and Redeemer.<\/p>\n

In the first place-in all the Gospels\u2014Jesus made the self proclamation expressed in his Union with the Father. The work of Jesus is made in unity with the Father. This work to which we are called, is the gift of love and of eternal life. It may be my brother, my sister, one with Jesus. Turn yourself\u00a0into a gift, into grace\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0love of life.<\/p>\n
