TV Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova is the first Brazilian national television network making its programming available on the internet through Facebook, a major worldwide social network. The transmissions began in June and are made in real time through the Fan Page application. Beyond watching all the Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova TV programming, web surfers that have a profile on Facebook will be able to spread Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova in their related pages.<\/p>\n

The objective of TV Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova is to draw more persons even closer to its programming of Christian content. “The internet is a powerful tool that eliminates geographic barriers. With our programming being transmitted by Facebook, the audience passes beyond limits and our message should arrive in places never imagined, ” stressed the superintendent \u00a0of transmission, Paula Guimar\u00e3es.<\/p>\n

The development of the application is centered in the use of content already produced by Can\u00e7\u00e3o Nova, of a mode to organize and facilitate the access for youth that make part of the social network. “One \u00a0of the objects of the application, also was to use the idea of Digital TV in regard to interactivity of users”, stated Rafael Guimar\u00e3es, creator of the project.<\/p>\n
