Let Nothing Perturb You

The prayer of St. Teresa of Avila speaks: “Let nothing disturb you …Let nothing frighten you…All things pass away…Patience obtains all things.”

It is necessary to have patience in afflictions. Before the most difficult moments it is necessary to say to yourself: All things pass away. It is clear that it is not something easy, but patience generates a living hope in our heart. Hope of intervention of in our impossible things. The disturbance and impatience throw the voice of God from our heart. This starts from our hope in the fount of faith for the action of God in our life.

Therefore, for the most difficulties that may be the problems of each one, it is a moment to stop, to calm the heart and to abandon oneself without disturbance into the heart of God. And in patience to say [as did St. Teresa of Avila.] “He who has God finds he lacks nothing, God alone suffices.”
