Careful not to give ear to what doesn’t build up

Deacon Nelson Correa, on Wednesday morning, day 22 June 2016, the program ‘ smiling at life, meditating on the power of words. We have listened to the gossip and slander? What we also have spoken of the people?

The meditated Word is :

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22New International Version (NIV)

21 Do not pay attention to every word people say,
or you may hear your servant cursing you—
22 for you know in your heart
that many times you yourself have cursed others.

“Who said it? What’s the source? “

A journalist, has a “mole”,  a reliable source. Have you heard the “source? People are living at the mercy of good or bad news.

As we have “professionals” who work for evil, that help to sow disorder and throw words on the air. How many are experts in taking those words and making gossip.

Three words that we must banish from our lives: told, spoke and said. We listen to certain kinds of gossip and we were wondering “what did they say? Why did they say it? “. This is the order to us: don’t come into the middle of gossip!

Choose the option for silence. There are people that are experts at talking and leaving behind the “seed of uneasiness”. And there are those who are experts in twisting the words we speak. If we’re paying attention to the words of the people, they are going to “twist” the words.

The Pope tells us not to judge. Often, we talk about things through deduction. And by deduction we can make mistakes too, because God sees the heart. We’re judging, criticizing and transforming into being specialists in criticism.

When listening to these things, it all becomes a process: we listen, we get angry and talk, often in the form of judgement. There is no one who has not spoken ill of another, however it is possible to avoid confusion.

There are so many things behind the people’s lives, so don’t judge. If a couple takes “the hot iron” in everything they talk to each other, they will be disputing every day.

Take life lightly. Over time, we remember the things that happen and we end up laughing.

Sometimes, the word that we hear is so bad that we should renounce it. The contaminated word enters us with an order: “be sad. Be angry. Fight, argue, get satisfaction “.Renounce the order that infects the heart.

Whenever we can, renew our promises of baptism, because it helps us to rid ourselves of evil. That God may take from our ears the hard words we hear. Let us ask God to inspire us, ask if what we hear or talk about is of him or comes from him.
