Neil Velez: In The Middle of the Storm God is With You.

When we board a boat to go to the other side, we have to be obedient to the voice of God in order to arrive at the shore. In this trip, there are going to be many tests, storms and they have only one objective, that is to take our eyes from God. The Devil wants to stop our travel. He wants to stop us before we arrive at the other side. But the other side is waiting for us.

When you begin to follow Jesus, you will have problems that you cannot imagine. A brother said to me, when he was in the world, he had no problems, “but today that I am with with Jesus I have many problems.” I said to him, “When you were in the world you belonged to the Devil, therefore, he did not attack you. But now you are of Christ, prepare yourself, he is going to attack you.”

In this boat was Jesus, but sleeping, he heard his brother in the middle of the storm, in the middle of this difficult navigation. Although, the Devil does not want that we you may realize this, remember always that Jesus is with you and in the middle of this torment, there is God, although he appears to be sleeping. God is with you always, we are those that may turn from seeing him. We may fall into Satan’s trap, we may fall into the lie that is Satan that he says to us that God is not with us. Yes God is in this sickness, yes in that family problem, yes in this economic crisis. God is with you and has the power to calm the storm.

A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mk 4:37-41 NIV)

We have an all powerful God who has the power over your problem. Your God is more and we should believe in him.

God wants the best for you and he wants to bless you. The perfect prayer is that which comes from the heart with sincerity. Speak to the Lord as you speak to your husband, your wife, your children. Speak with your heart. God is listening to you. Not one word that you may say in this moment will be list.
