Like Kites in the Hand of the Lord

It the hour in the desert. It is a fertile moment in our retreat. In this opportunity my eyes contemplate from a distance a child happily jumping with this kite. He keeps his eyes on the horizon and observes the direction of the wind to find the best place to hold his strong of his kite.

Although, being a boy, he appears to be a master in the art of observation, a learner of life. Little does he know that life requires these moments of pure observation. He will probably one day remember this morning and understand that in all we need to take possession of the lenses of a good observer.

Well, this scene makes me pray, and praying I begin to be remembered by God, we are kites in His Hands. Now we will be pulled other times set loose all in the vision of being in the best place to grow in beauty on high, provoked through the impulse of the wind with with we are lifted. Interesting it is that as a good flier of kites, the master observes the landscape. He verifies the condition of the place well as the structure of the kite. His largest desire is that it grows in the vocation that is reserved for it..

In this movement many times the good teacher will need to give more string or hold the entire string reel. Therefore, He will need also to bring it back in to Himself, let it out a little, diminish the rythym of movement.

Ah . . . If we only knew to live for that which God has prepared for us, we need at a time to live similarly to the process of a kite in the hands of the child, to be let out, pulled, brought back finally to allow itself to be driven. Nothing has the beauty in allowing itself to be brought through the wind without anyone directing us or driving us. In this sense the teacher takes us therefore in His hands and that without wind, the breath of the lover makes us go the to heights of our heart and of His holy desire!
