Let Us Listen to the Voice of Our Conscience

When we follow the voice of our conscience we do not lose ourselves.

Deep within his conscience man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself but which he must obey. Its voice, ever calling him to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil, sounds in his heart at the right moment. . . . For man has in his heart a law inscribed by God. . . . His conscience is man’s most secret core and his sanctuary. There he is alone with God whose voice echoes in his depths.” (CCC 1776).

There is nothing more true with us than ourselves. Even when we lie to people, when we put our head on the pillow, the voice of our conscience can be heard showing us our true acts.

Many people flee silence, because they do not want to hear the interior voice. However, the more we allow ourselves to be guided by the voice of our conscence, the more free we will be and thus the closer to God will be become.

Let us make peace with our conscience.

Jesus, I trust in You!
