What Does Our Look Provoke in Persons

The look of Jesus upon us transfigures us and bring out the best we have. Various passages in the Bible narrate that the Lord looked at him and loved him profoundly, as He did with the rich young man when he encountered him.  “Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, ‘You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to (the) poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.’ ”  (Mk 10:21)

Before Christ gave the response to the young man, he gave him a look of love.

At the end of the day, let us ask ourselves, does my look over persons transfigure them or deform them?

We ask today Our Lord Jesus Christ the grace to look at each person as He looks at them.

Jesus, I trust in You!
