The Lord gives us many graces without us needing to ask for them. Sometimes we need to ask and one of these is perseverance, so teaches St. Teresa of Avila. We need to ask the Lord everyday for the grace to persevere in His roads, in the good and holy plans, in the practice of good, in the exercise of love, in the life of prayer, in the studies, in the work, in the good friendships, in the vocation, in the generosity of heart and even in the situations not met in life, we need to persevere in the good testimony of faith, proclaiming Jesus as our only Lord.

We need to ask the Lord insistently the grace of perseverance, because He sustains the universe with the power of His word” (Hebrews 1:3b)

Jesus, look upon us today, and come to help our needs most profound in our heart.
