Day 5 Adriano Gonçalves’ Mission to the US

Fifth day…waking at 5am and going to New York. What happiness to see the youth early and excited for a day of prayer in the Sanctury of the Martyrs of New York. After 4 hours of travel (Boston to New York). We arrived. What a beautiful place. A land of saints. Shrine of the Martyrs of New York.
Next I did a preaching on sin and in we moments I was speaking on the mercy of God. Afterwards, we enclosed the moment high in the shrine where I said that mercy is to live the freedom of being a child of God. We ate lunch and afterwards I spoke on holiness. My God, those youth were thirsty for God and for a new life. But one highlight is that young woman of about 20 years old bought the book Santos of Calça Jeans [Saints in Jeans]. And right there was reading it and being touched. At the end of the day she said: I thought that holiness was something difficult and that I would have to leave being a youth, but here I learned that it isthe opposite, it is possible to be holy without leaving my youth behind!” Here in the US being young and wanting to be holy also.

It was an unforgettable day and as I was preaching to other people, another culture this truth: being holy without leaving being a youth.

The mission continues
