Last Day Adriano Gonçalves’ Mission to the US

The last day of the mission here in the United States. I am now in the Boston airport [Logan] waiting for my flight to Charlotte and from there Brazil. There are mixed feelings in me. Fullness, gratitude, feelings of missing someone, challenge. I remain looking at the airplanes that are outside and I ask myself: Why is God doing all this with me and through me?

I did not encounter answers, only the remembrance of these days of mission.

Being here in the United States of America was very good. Some are going to want to see photos on my facebook of me and the Statue of Liberty, or they are going to want to see me walking in Times Square or, who knows, my photo in Disney. Yes you can find my photo with liberty, but not the statue. And yes a Hispanic youth that I encounter with holiness of God said: “I understand what it is to be free. I understood that I can be a youth and holy. Finally I am free.

Yes you can encounter me walking but not in Times Square. But they will encounter me in Estrada with youth from Marietta/Atlanta. That they understood taht they are more than conquerors and that the fights of this Earth gain us Heaven.

Yes I will enc0untera park of adventures, but sorry, not DISNEY, but life. as Pope Benedict XVI said: “Life is a great adventure. And it is only worthwhile if we have the courage to venture.” I will adventure in the language, I will adventure in the culture, finally in will adventure in announcing the gospel. The audacity and boldness of the Holy Spirit I proclaimed in @ revolucaojesus.

The mixed feelings return for Brazil, I feel strange, I know that this land is not mine, my homeland is Heaven. We need to be as these planes that are on the tarmac at the airport that are not limited to the ground but contemplate the sky. We are going to change the world…Are we going to show with our lives that it is worth making the difference.

God expects much of me and of you!
