I Have Not Come to Work Miracles

When He created the world, God inserted into it physical laws and natural ones that rule it.

Miracles are manifestations of the power of the Almighty in supernatural form, or maybe beyond the forces of this world, are treated as an extraordinary experience, what supercedes these physical and natural laws.

Here are examples of the miracle: the cure of an illness that medical diagnotics reveals as irreversible and incurable, or the birth of a child when exams prove that she was dead in the womb, the resurrection of a deceased person or the sea that opens for the people to on foot to dry land. Acts that supercede these laws and rules that order the universe.

God does it, for He is omnipotent, He can do all.

However, these divine concessions are not the preferred form of the Lord acting in this world. He wants to act interact with the human being, across the ordinary day to day, through these natural laws we encounter greatly His love.

Signs and wonders are demonstrations of the divinity for whomever beyond God can interfere in the elements in a supernatural way? “Rabbi, we know that you come as teacher form God for no one is capable of doing the signs that you do.” (John 3:2)

But they do not always bring to conversion of heart. Afterward a miracle happens the person can leave the presence of the Lord. “Then Jesus began began to rebuke the cities in which he had done a large part of His miracles because they were not converted.” (Mt 11:20)

It is a risk that we have a spirituality that seeks Jesus because of his miraculous favors, because this is not characterized by maturity, nor of the true love for the Lord. It is a self interested bargain.

If all things work together for the good of those that love God” means that God acts in our life at each moment, He is always present in the occurences of live and communicates with us in all. And if, a majority of acts in our life are not miraculous, then the Almighty inserts Himself and speaks across the norms and natural processes that He Himself instituted.

Jesus perceived that His hour (hour of His sacrifice) was near, from the recognition and seeking of the Gentiles (people not Israelites) for Him. (cf Jn 12:20-23) In fact that he could pass unseen.

We can encounter the response of God in the speaking of a child, in the counsel of a friend, in the bountiful harvest, in the natural fruits.

When we see the manifestation of Christ in our lives, taking not of facts in common, our love in response to this God tends to be more true and we seek the Lord, because we desire to make ourselves like Him and in His love.

Remain joined with Christ even when we don’t have the favors that you seek that you merit. He will be forging in you, a better person.

If you don’t see miracles and wonders you don’t believe…?” (John 4:48)
