It is the hour now for you to awake from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed;the night is advanced, the day is at hand. Let us then throw off the works of darkness [and] put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and licentiousness, not in rivalry and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh” (Rom 13, 11-14)
St Paul is saying this, because the coming of the Lord is near. Our Salvation and the salvation of our family is closer than when we first knew the Lord.
Today, unfortunately, corruption, immorality and depravity on the Earth are tremendous. We are living in times where there exists an enormous difficulty of living our faith in the practice because of darkness that surrounds, because it is very strong and we perceive that there is a vail of impiety that weighs over our hearts. Impiety is simply this denial of faith, it is a rebellion and a separation from God. It has its consequences in evil. But it is not our fault, it is the environment that surrounds us, it is like the pollution of great cities that diminish the oxygen of the air. We are living in a climate of spiritual pollution. You are the instrument that God chose for the salvation of your family.
The world is in the pollution of impiety but the Lord is alerting us that we are deep into the night already. Nevertheless, thanks be to God, the day already is arriving. Do not be afraid of the coming of the Lord, for He will come to remove us from this situation.
Jesus said that the coming of the Son of Man will come like in the days of Noah, it may be that men and women will be living a normal life, marrying and giving themselves in marriage, until the day in which Noah entered the ark and saw the flood. You need to proclaim that God is at the core of your house like the Ark of Salvation for all your family. And God saw that only Noah was considered just. Not that he was right, but that he was just, because he feared and obeyed the Lord. Therefore, he was saved with all his family. It is God saying that you woman or man, adult or youth, are the instrument that He chose to be the salvation of your family.
You that are young and say that your parents do not want to know anything nor even your brothers and sisters. God chose as He chose Noah. If you were obedient as was Noah, you will be an instrument of salvation for all your family, because God does not want to save only you but all. Only he will really not save whomever does not want to be saved. Who knows, you may be the person chosen to be the only Noah of your house. The sons and daughters of God should allow themselves to be converted that the Lord may come and wash the face of the Earth.
Say: I begin, today, the first day of my life. I give my life into Your hands, Lord. I want that Jesus be the Lord of my life.”
