It is Time to Say “Enough”

In the first letter to the Thessalonians, St. Paul gives us the following guidelines:

This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality, that each of you know how to acquire a wife for himself in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion as do the Gentiles who do not know God;anot to take advantage of or exploit a brother in this matter, for the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you before and solemnly affirmed. For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not a human being but God, who [also] gives his holy Spirit to you.

This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality, that each of you know how to acquire a wife for himself in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion as do the Gentiles who do not know God; not to take advantage of or exploit a brother in this matter, for the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you before and solemnly affirmed. For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not a human being but God, who [also] gives his holy Spirit to you.(1Th 4,3-8).

Reject the teaching of God is to despise God himself that gives us His Holy Spirit. Holiness is not only purity, nor is it only chastity, but it is also to live in a holy sexuality. The enemy has used our sexuality to impede our road to santification.

God wants man and woman to participate in His creative power, therefore He gave them organs of generation. It is through sexuality male and female that we generate children for God. Our sexuality is holy and it was given for holiness. But the enemy used and abuse it. This is the hour for us to say “Enough!” We are no longer fools! We are not more naive in the hands of the enemy. Already we are very deceived by temptation through the mentality of the world that influences us.

At the same time, it is necessary to ask: “Transform, Lord, my mind, my heart, my feelings. Even though my body was injured and bruised and contaminated by this world, I want to live in purity. I want to live in holiness.” God wants us to be saints! We need to say a definite “No!” to sin.

God Bless You!
