“It is the hour now for you to awake from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed; the night is advanced, the day is at hand. Let us then throw off the works of darkness [and] put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and licentiousness, not in rivalry and jealousy” (Rm. 13, 11-13 NAB)

When we begin our road in the Church we are filled with enthusiasm, we are vigiliant, how much we wait for the coming of the Lord. But with the passing of time, we are going to grow accustomed, we are relaxing in our faith. We being to live our calling in a cold manner. We return to having older attitudes, ancient vices, falling back into old sins…The new man is losing space to the old man.

Therefore the Word of God screams with us: :Already it is the hour to wake up…the day is arriving…” The Lord will come and not delay. ” Let us let go a practices of darkness.”

“Wake-up, you that are sleeping! Get us from among the dead and Christ will illuminate you.” cf (Is 26:19; 60:1)
