Fear is born automatically in the heart of whomever see himself alone, helpless, and feels himself “orphaned from the Heavenly Father“. Those disciples were terrified because still they had not encountered Jesus in back of the boat. They knew theoretically of the presence of Jesus in the boat, but, in fact, needing an experience of the active presence of Jesus and of his Lordship in their lives.
