The Strength to Witness to Jesus

Jesus says to his disciples: “Go into the whole world and announce the Gospel to every creature! Whomever believes and is baptized will be saved. Whomever does not believe will be condemned.” (cf Mk 16) It is exactly this that He says to each one of us. Now we need to do our part to complete this commandment.

God communicates with us through His Word.

Today, we are celebrating, for we are commemorating 22 years of the Obra de Maria (Work of Mary) Community. They were many years of struggle, sowing the Gospel in tears, but with the grateful hearts to the Lord for harvesting with joy the fruits of each suffering.

St. Luke records in the Acts of the Apostles, a request by Jesus: “Do not flee from Jerusalem, but wait the realization of the promise of the Father, of which you heard me speaking: John baptized with water, you, therefore, will be baptized with the Holy Spirit, in a few days.” (cf Acts 1:1-11) This baptism is not with water, but with the fire of the Holy Spirit. All that we receive, on this Earth, is passing, that is why we need to seek the eternal things. . .

St. Paul speaks to us on the importance of witnessing with our life and our attitudes, the Holy Spirit that we experience. (Eph 4:1-13)

God always honors His promises. We need always to humble our heart before his presence, because He himself will honor us with his blessings and graces!

When Jesus ascended to the Father to prepare a place for us, He does not leave us along, for he promises to send over us His Holy Spirit. This is what He himself says to us. You are not along, Christ is with you!

We need to be authentic Catholics, we need to witness for God to the world. The greatest miracle we have is the Holy Mass, in which Jesus is made present in His most precious Body and Blood present in the Eucharist.

We need to be strong in tribulation and persevere in prayer, thus affirms St. Paul to the Romans.

It is through prayer that the doors of Heaven are open to the blessing of the Father. We need to seek, daily, the glory of God in our daily prayer, so, the promise of God will be completed in our life and everything else will be given in addition.

Do not give up. Remain firm because God chose you to be light and to illuminate your family.

We need to announce Jesus for He is with us. As the Gospel affirms: The Lord helps us and confirms His words through signs that accompanied them.”

That you have be able, as were those disciples, to go out to announce Jesus is the Good News of the Gospel.
