I want to tell you a secret for those that want to grow in the life of prayer. A secret perhaps one of two more simple and efficient, it is: to pray when you don’t want to, when, through feelings and physical state, the will seeks to do many other things, except praying.
Whomever still prays knows that the interior man is the result of sacrifice and self-denial. There does not exist another road!
