Do Not Attend the Desires of the Flesh

The night is advanced, the day is at hand. Let us then throw off the works of darkness [and] put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and licentiousness, not in rivalry and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.” Rm 13, 12-14

Brothers and sisters, it is this that I have been feeling and that I want to share with you. We live in preparation for the Coming of the Lord Jesus and the enemy of God tries, in various forms, to take us off the Lord’s road. We need to be firm. In reality, the day is arriving and we need to abandon the works of darkness. We live the moment where God permits that we draw close to Him that we drink of Him and that do not lose this moment remaining in darkness.

Generally it is the night that assault happen and that wrong things are done. Seeing this, the Word of God comes to say to us that we should procede as if was day, for during the day it is more difficult to commit assaults or do wrong things. And living like it was day, it will be more difficult to give us freedom to sin.

And Paul gives us the saying . As we care for ourselves, brushing our teeth after meals and bathing daily, on the other hand if we do not do this, we have cavities and pains. In the same way, we need to clothe ourselves daily in The Lord Jesus. It is as if we have to take a daily bath but with LIVING WATER. on the other hand we experience spiritual ills.

That we may live this Year of the Faith under the Light of God, leaving darkness aside.
