My brothers and sisters, seeing the life of the saints, we see how much we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Paul and Timothy perceived that God was indicatingto them the way because they were people filled with Him, they were people of prayer, deciding to do the will of the Lord. Then, the Spirit drove them to Philipi and were there without knowing anyone for they had never been on those shores. (cf Acts 16:6-9)

One very beautiful thing is that Paul on Sabbath Day, saw a place of prayer on the shore of a river. There he encountered a group  of women and remained in prayer with them. These woman certainly, were surprised at the presence of men in this place. But it was there that they from the scriptures spoke to them of Jesus. Among those woman was Ligia, very attentive and of an open heart to the receive the Word. She was baptized and insisted that the Apostle Paul remain in her house. She, having much influence over the other persons of the place, enabled Paul the opportunity to evangelize many. Thus from Asia Minor, The Lord brought him to Europe after to the other side in Greece.

We Christians have to ask the Divine Holy Spirit this same boldness of the the men and women of God.

Let us pray together” Come Spirit Paraclete, visit our souls, fill us with your grace and encourage our hearts. Amen.”
