In the Ark of the Covenant, one would find the tablets of the Law, that which was most precious for the people of God. Therefore, it was present wherever the people arrived with the Ark the enemies trembled because they knew that God was with His people and would fight for them.

Today our Ark of the Covenant is much more precious. It contains not only the tablets of the Law, but also God himself, hidden under the appearances of bread and wine. The true Ark of the Covenant today, for us is the Eucharist. It is Jesus Christ alive in the consecrated host.

Our battle is spiritual and our enemies tremble before us, because we are covered in the power of God! If we are Eucharistic men and women, we tear down the walls of our lives, we were torn down the walls of Jericho.

Our fidelity to the Mass makes us warriors that serve our general, Jesus, and if we follow his footsteps our enemy will not deter us.
