Francis said that the work realized by the volunteer youth reminded him of the mission of St. John the Baptist who prepared the way for Jesus. “Each one in your way, was an instrument in order that millions of youth may have the ‘way prepared’ to encounter Jesus. And this is the most beautiful service that we can realize as missionary disciples: to prepare the way in order that all may be able to know, to encounter and to love the Lord.”

The Holy Father still asked the youth that they may always be generous with God and with the rest for “you will lose nothing”, on the contrary, it great “the riches of life that one receives.”

After the discourse, the Pope invited the youth to prayer a Hail Mary and conceded to all his Apostolic Blessing. Then he asked the youth one last thing: “pray for me.”
