The Eucharist, Our Daily Remedy

I lived an unforgettable experience some time ago. On the retreat where I was preaching, during mass, when I was distributing communion, I perceived a quite intense rash in one hand of someone who was going to receive the Eucharist. In the moment in which I put the Host in her hand, the rash disappeared.

During all the rest of the Rite of communion, I remained asking: “Lord, what I saw was real or was it my impression? “O Lord did you do a healing?”

After communion, during the pray for healing, I began to pray for the person and had the courage to announce that cure. I spoke in a loud voice: “Where are you, show yourself and show to others you hand.” The response was immediate: with prayers in the her eyes, the person showed all her healed hand!

The Eucharist is like a remedy that we have constantly until we are healed.
