Take Possession of Today’s Blessing

Today, the Lord is teaching us to request early and to take possession of your blessing. “Lord, my Father, please bless me. And even I want to ask: bless me much.”

It appears to be a selfish prayer. I would like to ask that the Lord may bless others, our family, our friends, our work, but I need to ask God to bless me, because the thing that I most need is the blessing from God.

I take possession of this grace of God, I take possession of the healing, Lord. I take possession of the today’s blessing.

Each day, God has a blessing for you and it is necessary to take possession of this blessing. The manna was given to the people of Israel each day, then, God taught to seek it each day, because it was needed everyday.  They had to harvest it early and had to eat it the same day, because if they kept it, it would rot.

We, in general, do not understand well the word “blessing” We have the custom of saying to each other “God bless you”, but not having the notion of what this really means.

God is Father, but He is not paternalistic –  he does not do what we can do for ourselves. The blessing that God gives me is what I cannot do for myself, it is above my nature.

If the Lord gives a blessing to you each day, as he gave the manna for the people of Israel, you need to keep this blessing.

The grace of God is never to much. You can and need to ask for it each day. “Bless me and bless me alot” This is not selfishness but need.

Blessing is a present, a grace totally free.
