It impresses me to see how Jesus overcomes temptation: He always appeals to the Sacred Scriptures. We should do this more. I have learned that we need to bring the book of the Word of God everywhere: in pockets and pocketbooks, into work, in our house, finally, where we want to be. These are scriptures that form in us the mind of Christ! If we carry the Word of God in our mind and in our heart, we will find the strength, consolation, wisdom and discernment in it that we seek.

In making a decision, conversing with someone or overcoming temptation, we ask that in this moment, the Holy Spirit makes spring from our interior the bible verse that we may need. “All scripture is inspired by God and useful to teach, refute, correct, educate in justice, the goal of which is that the man of God may be perfect, qualified for whatever good work.” (II Tim 3:16-17)
