I would exhort you to leave everything, but I do not dare. If you cannot leave things in the world, make use of them so that you do not stick to them by possessing worldly goods without having them possess you. Everything you possess is under the control of your spirit, so do not become trapped by love of Earthly things, therefore, by being dominated by them.
Let us use temporal things, but seek the eternal. Temporal things are simple aids to the journey, but the eternal, the end of your sojourn. Everything that happens in this world is considered as an accessory. That we fix our gaze forward, setting us firmly on future joys we hope to achieve.
