Nothing Resists the Word of God

We can not be without the Word of God. Nobody can drink water for you. Likewise, you can only drink from God’s Word yourself, no one can do it for you. You need to read it, hear it and live what is written in it. He who does not wash clean is not kept clean. Just as water cleanses our body, the Word of God cleanses our interior. I know people who could not read and began to learn to read the Bible.

What beauty it is to see the blind reading the Bible in braille! Many of them make the spiritual diary in braille. That’s a shame for us because we see and do not do Bible study. If the Word of God is in your life everything will change. God put in us this hunger and this thirst for the things of Him.

“And nobody, lighting a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that others which come in may see the light “(Luke 8: 16-17).

The Word of God is the seed of the Kingdom of God. You know how the Kingdom of God is deployed? Through His Word. Like to be a tree you need to plant a seed, the Word of God must be sown on the ground of our heart.

The Kingdom of God will bring forth in us. The light is like a lamp and it can not be placed under the bed. Likewise, the Word of God can not be hidden, can not stay under the cabinet but needs to shine throughout our home. The house of our heart.

We all have big family problems. If the problem is not with us is with someone of our family. Maybe you have problems in your house and what will bring the solution to you is the word of God. The Word can not stay in a drawer. It needs to be on top to shine upon all the household, to enlighten and reach all corners of your family.

There are people who do not want to live what the Word of God teaches us. We need to make the Word of God present in our home. As light illuminates everything around you, so it is with the Word of God. The more there is the experience and the proclamation of the Word of God, the more will be light in your home. Unfortunately, there are people who do not want to know God, they do not want to listen to God. Perhaps you’ve talked to them and nothing worked, then the only thing to do is be immersed in the Word, because even if you do not speak to them, your life will speak it.

The more you have the Word of God, the more even your verbiage becomes the Word of God. Nothing resists God’s Word! It is living and active. As it is written in St. Mark 22.4:. “There is nothing hidden that will not be discovered” To illuminate your entire house and all its life, the Word of God needs to be published and experienced. The word needs to be said!

The same situation from which you suffer in your home, we suffer in the world. Many do not know the Scripture, do not obey and do not live what is written in it, because the Word was not proclaimed to them. Many of our families are pagan; the fact that they believe in God and they were married in the Church does not mean they are Christian, because what gets measured is what the person lives. It is the very Word of God that says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well. Even the demons believe and tremble “(James 2:19). Many families live only the existence of God, but Christianity is not even lived in them.

We are in a wonderful era in which the Word of God is being advertised and placed on top, to illuminate our lives and our home. In my boyhood it was not so. It was much more difficult for people to have a Bible and read it. Today that has changed, but much remains. We are living this grace. Jesus says: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” Today more than ever God is pouring out His Spirit upon us.

Who wants to come and drink of God’s Word today is that possibility. Times have changed. We are no longer in the generation of long ago. There was never much chance of having access to the Word of God as today. However, you do not just live in this special time, you have to want to live it. It is important to thirst for God. Jesus is raising the seat in our hearts by His Word.

Unfortunately we let ourselves take the spirit of laziness. Now it’s time to leave this indulgence and drink of God’s Word.
