Where Is the Good News?

An avalanche of news comes to us every day, but we need to reflect on what they have caused us

When we turn on the TV news or open a web page, we hear about corruption, read about schemes and more schemes involving police and government agencies, persons manipulating, killing to achieve their own interest. Could it be that the world really only woes happening? Is there still good news? Where was God before this chaos?

Where are the good news - 1600x1200

It is true that man distances himself from God and, therefore, many are distorted – we can not overlook this. However, it is even more certain that the Lord continues to be good, and there are many people struggling to do good.

We will “swallow” all this bad news, and these become part of our daily life. Already we expect to receive something bad, we are always prepared for the worst. And when we receive something good, we are suspicious; after all, “when the charity is great even the saint is suspicious.”

We are still obliged to also convey all that is negative and comes close to us. Notice how even we who believe in the Resurrection of Christ, we are being caught in the negativity?

All that weight is falling upon our mind and our heart, we are unmotivated, prostrate and slaughtered. Many are afraid to leave the house and fall into a deep depression. Still others, in the face of such instability are afraid to have children in this chaotic world.

Believe that God loves us and wants us. Although it is unconscious, it seems to us that the Lord has lost his strength and evil stands good.

We are are celebrating the greatest event of all time: The Passover of the Lord Let us not only solve to celebrate that Jesus rose but to let Him resurrect our hope, our dreams, joy in our souls and the joy of living..

We are invited to make a difference. Have children, yes, and educate in hope, teaching them that the world can be best from each one, trusting in the love of God who provides all things.

We need to celebrate what is beautiful, see the police doing their job fairly, the person who found a wallet of money and returned it, the worker who earns his bread by the sweat of his own face and the businessman who does not withhold taxes.

Anyway, let’s look for the good news and spread it as someone who throws flower seeds in the wind; and where there is a good earth, the seed is takes root,  germinates and generates fruit.

We are prophets of hope!
