Trust in God gladdens our hearts

The meditated Word today is in Psalm 13.6:
“But I trusted in thy mercy. Rejoice in thy salvation my heart and sing to the Lord for the good that did me. “

When we put our trust in God, our heart rejoices. The only reason to be sad  is because we have not had a personal encounter with the Lord or because sin dominates us and we lose our friendship with him.

Everything that happens to us must be brought before God in prayer and supplication, accompanied by the action of giving thanks to the Lord. Turning to Him with confidence, we sing thanksgiving, because we know that God always hears us.

In the Holy Mass, we experience three stages: prayer, supplication and thanksgiving. When we divide the bread of the Word and the Eucharist, may present before the altar of the Lord all situations which we live. Before His feet, we put our worries and anxieties.

Trials make us experience the love of God and the Holy Spirit, that move our hearts and make us trust the Lord. What it this day is a great opportunity to experience His care. There is no time when we can not trust God and expect Him salvation.

When we trust in the Lord truly, we are not disappointed. In His time, He will come to our rescue and meet us. When everything seems to be spinning out of control, our strength leaving and we sink in the sea of worries, the Lord comes to our rescue. We trust Him.

Let us put our lives in the presence of God in all simplicity, recognizing that we are not worthy of such grace. The Father will hear our prayers and will answer in His time and His way. Let us ask the Spirit to give us more faith so that we can overflow the graces of God.
