Pope Francis, Monsignor Jonas Abib to Speak at Priest's Retreat

On the afternoon of June 12th, Pope Francis will speak to priests from around the world about the transformation achieved through love

“Transformed from love and for love” will be the Pope Francis‘s reflection theme for the participants of the Third World Priests Retreat, organized by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and the Catholic Fraternity. The event will be held 10-14 June at the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome. The theme will be “Called to holiness for the new evangelization.”

The reflection of the Holy Father will be on the afternoon of June 12, Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After a moment of dialogue with the priests, the Pope will celebrate the Eucharist with the missionary mandate of the participants. That same day, in the morning, the founder of the Canção Nova Community (which publishes this blog), Monsignor Jonas Abib, will preach, and speak about the word ‘changed’ in reflection entitled ‘Let the love of God  transform you.’ Afterward Sister Briege McKenna and Fr. Kevin Scallon, will lead the Eucharistic adoration and the inner healing prayer.
