A pure heart is what pleases God

Currently, we find a society that cares too much about all that is external. People are concerned a lot with work and material goods they have, they want their family to be perfect. Anyway, often, we are faced with the reality that you have to have status and present a good image to the other. With this, we forget our inner life.
The Pharisees were astonished to see that Jesus did not follow the ritual of washing hands before meals and, wisely, the Lord takes this occasion to teach them that the most important reality is to have a purity on the inside (cf. Luke 11: 38). During the reflection of this passage, the Lord revealed in my heart that first I need to take care of my inner life.
I need the Holy Spirit to purify my heart and take from it all concern with what is external. What about you, have allowed the outside to be more important than inside? Ask the Lord to purify your heart.
